Fundus Photography

Fundus Photography allows us to take photos of the back of your eyes.

This enables our doctors to track and record any changes that might develop in the back of the eye over long periods of time. This is one of the best methods of tracking the progress of eye disease. Early detection and monitoring is critical in making important decisions about the care of your eyes.

OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography)

Most cases of severe vision loss and blindness can be prevented with early detection.

Midwest Eye Consultants is able to help identify and manage conditions early in the disease process through OCT testing. Learn more about OCT.

Corneal Topography

Corneal Topography is utilized to diagnose, monitor and treat eye conditions.

It provides your Midwest Eye Consultants doctor a 3D map of the curvature of your cornea. Watch the video to learn more.

Visual Field Test, Perimetry Test

Midwest Eye Consultants will test not only your central vision, but also your peripheral vision to ensure you are seeing beyond your direct line of sight.

MPOD (Macular Pigment Optical Density)

The Midwest Eye Consultants doctors recommend MPOD testing to patients who may be at risk for age related macular degeneration.

This test allows us to assess whether a patient has low macular pigment as well as other visual challenges. If we find low macular pigment, we will recommend a regime of ocular supplements in order to increase your MPOD and decrease your risk of AMD. Through MPOD we will monitor your macular pigment optical density once you begin ocular supplements so that we know they are working!
