Do you take my insurance?
Midwest Eye Consultants works with many major vision and medical insurance plans. Our team can review your coverage before your exam and explain any optional testing or out-of-pocket costs up front.
Can I be seen the same day?
For urgent problems like eye pain, injury, irritation, or sudden vision changes, call us and we will do our best to find a same-day appointment. Routine exams are often available within the week, depending on office and provider availability.
Which Akron-area office should I choose?
Choose based on location, provider, and schedule. South Main Street, Manchester Road, and Barberton offer Saturday morning hours. Springside Drive and Barberton are open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays, South Main Street until 7 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, and Manchester Road until 7:30 p.m. on Mondays.
How long does an eye exam take, and will I be dilated?
Exam length can vary based on your needs, testing, and whether dilation is recommended. Your doctor will explain what each test is checking and let you know if dilation is part of your visit that day.
What age can my child have an eye exam?
Children can be seen for eye exams, prescription checks, and school vision concerns. If you are unsure whether your child is ready for a full exam, call us and our team can help you choose the right appointment type.
What if I do not have insurance?
You can still schedule an eye exam. Our team can explain self-pay options, review expected costs, and help you understand which services or eyewear choices best fit your needs.
